I mainly made this portion
of my web sight so those people around the world have the opportunity
to see if they knew me. Basically because trying to keep in touch
with friends literally all over the world is tough. And keeping
in touch with them all is even tougher. Addresses get lost, phone
numbers are misplaced, and people move. It is also an opportunity
to let people know what my hobbies and interests are. Since it is
always nice to talk to others with similar interests. |

My Life... |
| |
| I was born in San Diego,
CA on April 19, 1967. Though most of my memories of San Diego are
quite limited since I was too young to remember. At about age 5 my
family moved to Perris, California. For those of you who don't know
Perris is about a 2 hour drive from Los Angeles. |
| |
| While living in Perris I lived the "country life".
I raised animals, to include ducks, chickens, cows, goats, and horses.
I also grew a couple gardens and what not. |
| |
| My interest in horses became a hobby. I showed horses,
as well as participated in Gymkhana. I also belonged to the local
4-H club in Perris. |
| |
| When I was 17 my family and I moved to Azusa,
California. Azusa is a city about 30 miles from Los Angeles. It was
there where my life would become very radically different from what
it was before. |
| |
| In 1985 I graduated from Northview High School. For
the next 6 months or so I spent most of my time combing the beaches
of California. I then decided to take on a couple odd jobs and still
retained my "party" attitude. In October of 1985 I decided
it was time to grow up. So I enlisted in the United States Air Force.
I didn't officially become a member of the Air Force until
July 10, 1986. I selected a job that fit my personality, "different."
I enlisted in the Air Force with a guaranteed job of Nuclear Weapons
Specialist, or as we call 'em Mushroom Mechanics |
| |
| After 6 weeks of Basic Military Training, at Lackland
AFB in San Antonio, Texas, I was shipped to Lowry AFB in Denver, Colorado.
There I was given technical training in my selected job and also an
indoctrination into the way things really work in the Air Force.
What, you think we always run around acting like we did in basic training?? |
| |
| After completing Tech-School I was sent to my first
Permanent Duty Station, Wurtsmith AFB in Oscoda, MI. Oscoda
is a small, very small, town located approx. 3 hours north
of Detroit. I about died when I found out. Me...a kid born and raised
in sunny California was now going to live where snow was not on the
mountains but ON YOUR FRONT PORCH!
As luck would have it I spent the next 5 and
one-half years there. Along the way I was married, met a lot of great
people, and had some fun to boot. It was also there I bought my first
computer, a IBM 286 with 1 MB of RAM and a 40 Meg Hard drive. |
| |
| On July 31, 1992 I did what most everyone dreamt...I
got to see Wurtsmith AFB in my rear view mirror for the last time.
Of course that is only because the base was shutting down. |
| |
| I was then sent to Kirtland AFB, in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. Soon after I became a dad. A fact that changed my life forever.
Lyndsey, my daughter was born on October 5, 1993. Ever since then
she has become the guiding force in my life. I never imagined being
a father, before Lyndsey was born. Now I can't imagine not being a
dad. Shortly after Lyndsey was born my marriage, again, was on the
rocks. Even in spite of this fact I was still enjoying every minute
of it. Being a dad changes a person's life forever. It did mine! Also
while in New Mexico I was introduced to Bulletin Board Systems
(BBS). But all good things must come to end. And on July 10, 1996
I left the Air Force. |
| |
| In hopes of saving a marriage I agreed with my wife
to move to Toledo, Ohio. But even a move couldn't save a sinking ship.
But I decided that even though I was no longer to be a husband, I
still had to be a dad. So I decided to stay. Toledo is where I found
my way on to America On-Line. And with a lil cyber-help I have began
to build a new life here. |
| |
| This new life has included participating in the Toledo
AOL Get Togethers and setting up the 1998 Toledo AOL State Wide Party.
We managed to raise $1,000 for Make A Wish Foundation, at the State
Wide Party. Which was well worth all time invested to make the party
an enjoyable experience for all. The following year we did even better.
We managed to raise $2,100 for Make A Wish. |
| |
| At one of the regular AOL Get Togethers I met someone
who would change my life forever. Her name is Kristie. She has stuck
by me in good times and bad. And she always seems to find the good
in every situation |
| |
| Unfortunately, as times have progressed, life still
likes to throw curve balls in my direction. We have had to take my
ex-wife back to court for a custody issue, because it appeared, she
forgot that being a mother is not just being a person who gives birth.
Within a year of losing the custody case in court, we again had more
issues arise. My ex and her husband began turning their verbal disputes
into physical one. We had to take Lyndsey in our home, happily. And
we paid a dear price for it. From watching Lyndsey suffer through
the trials of her mother, and her mother's husband, trying to push
the blame not only onto Kristie and I, but also onto Lyndsey. But
the constant badgering on the phone. And the still unproven damage
to my car, which resulted in the replacement of 7 tires in 2 weeks.
And if you seen my car, you would be astonished as to why anyone would
want to attack it. |
| |
| Lyndsey has since returned to live with her mother.
Though, this was not what Kristie and I had hoped for. We had no choice
in the matter. It has turned out somewhat ok. The ex, I, Kristie,
and even the ex's husband seem to communicate far better now then
in the past. Lyndsey seems to have adjust ok. But as with all things,
we never know what will be next. Hopefully nothing |
| |
| In 2003 I accomplished the first big step
of my educational life. I am now a college graduate. I earned my Associates
of Applied Business in Network Administration. In 2004, I returned
to school and earned my Diploma in Web Design Management, and have
pursued a degree in Paralegal, which I am still persuing. |
| |
| Kristie and I have also developed a pretty heavy rivalry
in our home as well. We have become pretty involved hockey fans. She
loves the Detroit Chicken Wings (errr, I mean Red Wings). I on the
other hand am a Anaheim Mighty Ducks fan. So we have our share of
ribbing one another when either team loses or wins. Especially when
they play each other. |
| |
| Lyndsey now lives with us. Her mother finally decided
it would be best for her. Even though the court battle to make it
all legal was tough, and things aren't quite settled. It is a lot
better. Lyndsey went from failing in school to making the honor roll.
It is different with her being here, than with her mother. She doesn't
seem to really like the idea, but some day she will realize it was
the best for her. |
| |
| I have finally returned to one of my favorite
hobbies. I once again am a regular player at a game table. We have
played a smattering of different games from Dungeons & Dragons,
Boothill, ShadowRun, and Star Wars. I am glad I was able to get back
into the game, and Kristie even plays here and there, so what more
could I ask for? |
| |
| Kristie and I also do many things now a
days. We have even taken a try at Ghost Hunting. Although, we never
really turned up anything worth sending to anyone. It was fun and
interesting none the less. I still spend my days listening to Art
Bell and his other Coast to Coast AM counterparts. They never seem
to run out of anything strange or unusual to discuss. |
| |
| If there is a God who tests us humans. I suppose I have
been tested to the extreme. But I have also learned. Learned that
no matter how bleak a situation may there is always something to be
learned. I learned that being a dad has rewards beyond those ever
imagined, that friends can really help you understand how special
you are, and when you find someone who loves you and you love them
back nothing else can compare. And the rest, is history... |

| My Favorite Quote |
| |
| Well of course it should be, I wrote it... |
| |
Judge a
book by it's cover and you might have just ended a great story before
it started |
| |
| Another quote I am fond of is the one I strive to live
by... |
| |
Regret the
things you have done, not the things you haven't done |
